Sugarfist, the punk rock band eleventyseven’s new electro rock album is a phenomenal must have in any car stereo. Eleventyseven, an American band now notoriously recognized in Japan , stays true to their musical style. Sugarfist is a warm blend of punk, electro rock, and punk pop—all smoothed over with some sweet synthesizer beats and tunes. Matt Langston, lead singer of the three person band, writes with passion, meaning, and also throws in some fun jams while he’s at it! The full cd includes 16 lyrical ballads—all filled with fantastic synth and guitar. Favorites include “Wasted”, “Milk the Lightning”, “Divers in a Hurricane”, and “Quota”. Along with their 14 original songs, eleventyseven also covers the song “Take On Me” and “Gouge Away”. Sugarfist is literally one of the coolest cd’s to listen to in the car, mainly because the CD moves through different emotions. This CD is seriously something you want to hear. Though they’re not well known here, eleventyseven truly has major talent. If you are a fan of punk rock, punk pop, or anything electro or that involves synth, then eleventyseven is definitely the band to hit up on YouTube. Even if you’re not a fan of punk or electro rock, eleventyseven still has some other CD’s that are just as great. Eleventy has also written a folk project, which is a drastic change in musical style. . Attack of the Mountain Medley is the name of their new folk EP, and it is just as impressive as their other CD’s, even though the musical style is changed. Other notable CD’s are Adventures in Eville, and Gallactic Conquest, which remain in their usual style.
